“Look to nothing, not even for a moment except to reason.” – Marcus Aurelius
In This Episode, We Get Stoic About:
In Graham v. Connor, the Supreme Court emphasized the need for an "objective reasonableness" standard when assessing a use of force by law enforcement officers. This standard was meant to assess the actions of the officers from the perspective of a "reasonable" police officer, without the benefit of hindsight and held that police officers must make split second decisions in fast moving, tense and rapidly evolving situations.
We talk about applying the Graham standard to our daily lives on today’s podcast.
