E073: Keep Showing Up

“When force of circumstance upsets your equanimity lose no time in recovering your self-control, and do not remain out of tune longer than you can help. Habitual recurrence to the harmony will increase your mastery of it.” – Marcus Aurelius

In This Episode, We Get Stoic About:

Self-control is not a static state.  We all mess up from time to time. We skip a workout. We hit the snooze button. We lose our temper. We overindulge food or drink. To err, as the Alexander Pope poem reminds us, is human.

But while it is our nature to err on occasion, it is also within us to correct the course when we do.

We talk about the importance of showing up again on today’s podcast!
